Exhibited at “IfraExpo 2005”
IfraExpo 2005 (newspaper printing production exhibit sponsored by the International Newspaper Technology Research Association) was held at the Leipzig Exhibition Center in Leipzig, Germany from October 17th to October 20th, 2005. There were 313 exhibiting companies and a total of 9,000 attendees for the four days.
Held annually, IfraExpo, which is the equivalent of Japan’s JANPS, exhibits the latest equipment and systems for the production of newspapers, and along with NEXPO (newspaper production exhibit sponsored by the Newspaper Association of America) and “drupa” (comprehensive international printing exhibition), it is an exhibition on a world-wide scale. Being the 7th consecutive year of participation after first exhibiting in 1999, this time around, TKS put up panel and video displays of the Color Top series (shaftless web offset presses). In addition to the Color Top 7000CD and Color Top 8200CD, the new Color Top 5000CD, the Color Top 9000CDH and the newspaper-plus-commercial hybrid press, the Color Top 3500CMUD were also introduced.
Because there is a wide variety of large- and small-sized newspapers in Europe, visitors to the TKS booth displayed keen interest in the 4 x 1 press (Color Top 5000CD), 6 x 2 press (Color Top 9000CDH) and the hybrid press (Color Top 3500CMUD) that allows simultaneous newspaper and commercial printing.
The next IfraExpo is slated to be held from October 9 - 12, 2006 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
