Commemorative Party Held To Celebrate 100th Year of Rotary Press Manufacture
To usher in the 100th year of rotary press manufacture, a commemorative party was held this year on the 19th of July, at the Imperial Hotel in Japan.

Around 460 people from such fields as the newspaper and printing industries, governmental agencies, financial sectors and various printing related organizations were invited and celebrated 100 years of rotary press manufacturing.

The oration by Master SANYUTEI HOUGAKU entitled “ The 100 Years”  was performed at the “Hikari Hall”  from 3:30P.M.

Following this, from 4:30 P.M., the setting was moved to the “ Fuji Hall”  where the banquet was held.

TKS Chairman, Mr. K. Shiba, on the occasion of this 100th year, expressed his gratitude for the support and patronage, after which, representing the guests, the Co-Chairman of the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association and Chairman of the Board of Shinano Mainichi Newspaper Co., Ltd., Mr. Kensuke Kosaka, and The Chairman of The Japan Federation of Printing Industries and also Chairman of the Board of Toppan Printing Co., Ltd., Mr. Hiromichi Fujita, gave a congratulatory speech.

Following this, a “SAKE Barrel-Top Breaking” ceremony was held with three of the quests participating with our Chairman, Mr. K. Shiba, and President, Mr. N Shiba. Past Vice-Chairman of the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association and Chairman of Sankei Shimbun, Mr. Takehiko Kiyohara, lent his voice in toasting a salute.

As our chairman and president mingled with the guests amidst the congenial atmosphere in the banquet hall, there was much pleasant chatter, and instances of warm re-acquaintances between newspaper people and commercial printers were seen.  The commemorative ceremony came to an end at a little past 6:30 P.M.

Mr. Kensuke Kosaka, Mr. Hiromichi Fujita, and Mr. Takehiko Kiyohara.
